FM91.5 & Colorado Music Buzz Concert Pick
Shalom Feivel & Rocky Mountain Jewgrass
Sat.Feb.2 | 8 p.m.
Shalom Feivel and Rocky Mountain Jewgrass, launched in 2007, has
quickly become a Colorado festival and special event favorite,
entertaining Jewish and non-Jewish audiences alike. The band blends
traditional bluegrass style playing with contemporary and classic
Jewish themes and music to produce a high-energy show that is
fun for audiences of all ages. Saul Rosenthal (guitar), Gail DeVore
(fiddle), Manny Ladis (mandolin), Sandy Reay (bass), and Ben Cohen
(banjo, harmonica and whatever else is needed) bring a little
“picklin’ and grinnin’” and a “high
lonesome kvetch” to their performances. A lot of foot-stomping
fun—but be careful, you shouldn’t hurt yourself.
